'Only interested in threats and prey' may be a little hard to gauge right now. Shadow's not attacking outright, which could be a good sign. But he shows no sign of losing interest, either. He stalks forward, feathers standing up in a ridge down his spine. With the coming dawn he's regaining some coherency but... not quite enough, just yet.

As he draws closer to Jack he suddenly rears up, half upright on his hind legs and wings fanned to help him maintain his balance. He snarls, low and furious, and even without words the meaning might be clear: go away.
