Jack nods more firmly, at that. "Yes. Yes, it's true, we have each other and I am glad we have each other. Heh. I would offer to protect you, but, well, I am not very good at that." He gives an expansive sort of shrug and a mostly-joking apologetic look. "I will have to settle for explaining things. And, maybe--" He considers, looking at Serph thoughtfully. "May I give you a hug?"

Jack has no idea if Serph knows what a hug is. He hopes so, but he'll explain if he has to.
