[As soon as Jayce is behind those shields, Serph enters soon after. He doesn't revert immediately, wary of the monsters rattling outside. But once it seems that they're unable to get at Jayce, Serph undoes his transformation and leans against the side of the long vehicle, bruised and bleeding slowly. He lets Jayce do whatever he needs to to cope with the voices in his head -- he remembers Jayce saying they were stronger closer to the Convoy -- while he rests, barely upright.
Damn. He's sure Jack and John will be worried when he hadn't returned to their shared room. But he can't leave Jayce like this.
As dawn comes and the voices seemingly stop and Jayce seems to come back to himself -- albeit overwhelmed -- Serph unfolds himself and crouches by his side, reaching to grasp Jayce's shoulder.]
