[Even if SecUnit wouldn't have died from falling, Serph isn't so much concerned with it dying so much as the other possibilities. Like SecUnit being unable to make it back to the Convoy and therefore getting stranded alone and uncontactable. At the speed the Convoy travels and the speed of their own vehicles, there's only a limited window that he or other drifters could search before it becomes too risky -- they wouldn't even have the safety of the Convoy's shields at night -- and they have little choice but to leave it behind.
And he'd much rather it not come to that.
Serph opens his other eye and nods, accepting SecUnit's reluctant concession and quietly pleased that his head is feeling significantly better. Wings unfolding as he 'sits' up, Serph's obviously much steadier now than he had been when they first entered the building.]
The vertigo is gone. Are you alright to travel?
[Waiting out the storm would be what he'd suggest if they were anyone besides who they are.]
