That gives Zack pause, more so than before. He doesn't just seem to be thinking of a way to avoid the topic, or hoping it gets dropped in the meantime, but actually considering, this time. What he can say, what he can't (you die, too). What might actually help, and not just ensure that things get worse that much faster.
