Donnie deciding to make two skateboards isn’t a surprising development, and Leo’s own lips quirk up in response. It’s true that it’d be boring if it was just him. They both need to get it on it.

But then Donnie suddenly looks unsure again. And Leo doesn’t need magic tumbleweeds to catch that. He may not know exactly what’s going through Donnie’s mind right now, but something just shook his confidence.

Leo scoots forward, tossing an arm nonchalantly over Donnie’s shoulders, having to maneuver a bit around the tips of the wings. Love and concern and a little playful prodding are the main feelings now.

“If anyone can figure it out, it’s you,” he says. “I’m looking forward to totally smoking you.”
