There's no heat in it; this is their typical banter and things are feeling more...normal. Donnie doesn't want to ruin it by going back to work on things, but it feels kind of nice being able to finally relax himself.
He shifts so he can lean an arm over the edge of the mattress and better steal a few more chips, keeping his wings out of the way. Makes him miss having an actual bed.
"Wonder what the chances of finding any places with pillows or blankets to scavenge," he can't help but wonder aloud as he rests his head in the crook of his arm.
