Does Old World religion have some sort of monopoly on helping people, where you're from? Most of what I've read seems to indicate it was about proselytizing more than anything, and then simply expecting blind faith to change one's circumstances for them. Somehow. But even though he'd never frown on charity in principle, having that much power and influence and using neither to actually change things for the better is something he takes affront to. ]

But I think that has more to do with the occasional act of espionage and our generally antiestablishment stance, rather than any range of personally held beliefs.
