[ Danse is accustomed to the quiet, on the few occasions he's had reason to go anywhere with SecUnit. It's hard for him to tell in this case whether it's been ignoring the reflection pointedly, or just not acknowledging it in the way it doesn't acknowledge much about Danse's presence either, so he doesn't automatically assume the vision is as unwelcome as anything he's seen in the river for his own part.
It's not that he usually feels the need to fill a silence, either, though next to SecUnit, he always does feel downright obnoxiously chatty and sociable. He would have been content to let the reflection go without comment if not for that particular curiosity--though as more begins to happen in the surface of the water, he watches more closely, taken aback by the suddenness and unexpectedness of the violence.
Were it not for the visibly damaged organic tissue, it might feel more like watching earlier-model Institute synths turn on each other, except that he's never seen that happen and doesn't think it's possible. They're not capable of independent thought, after all, not like the Gen 3s. The kill itself wouldn't faze him when he's seen and done things just as brutal himself on the battlefield, but he doesn't have a clue where that all took place, or why. The blood is a sticking point; he does best when he can pretend there's as little overlap as possible between whatever SecUnit is and whatever he is. ]
Clearly not by much. [ After a moment, because he does sometimes get answers to things when he pushes-- ] What happened there?
