Donnie's head breaks the surface not long after, the turtle taking in a careful breath as he moves towards the steps.

"So...you were still breathing even underwater?" he asks, brow arching. He sets his feet on the steps, hauling himself out of the water as he looks at the rest of the room.

"No wonder the water's warm," he observes, looking to another set of tanks on the platform the steps lead to. "It's surprising they're still functioning, although those pipes don't look very safe..."
