"Completely out of my mind terrified," Jack confirms, a bit sadly. He'd been a sheltered teenager. He knows now he could have handled it differently, but when you're young, you can be kind of stupid. "As soon as we got back to the house, I grabbed a spare change of clothes and bolted. I never went back, or saw any of my family again. Including my little sister, who still didn't know what was going to happen to her, too, in a few years."
