"I did get asked if I was allergic to garlic," Blake snorts, "and-- honestly, I couldn't even confirm either way. I haven't seen garlic here at all."
There's a whole lot of vampire related mythology out there; she has a list on her phone of what she can remember from various myths and horror novels. There's the ones that pretty much every vampire has, like drinking blood and burning in the sun. Less common are things like being able to turn into a bat or wolf or fog, or differently colored eyes, or sleeping in coffins. And then there's the hyper specific stuff, like crucifixes warding them off, or garlic. Sometimes silver, too. Wooden stakes to the heart are usually common.
So far, she's only gotten the blood drinking, burning in the sun, being able to turn into mist, the fangs, and the bat wings currently held tight to her back. Oh, and the whole thing where her heart doesn't beat anymore because she's undead. She doesn't know if any more symptoms are coming.
"I think I'd like to avoid the whole coffin thing," she says dryly. "Although my friend's uncle who's here has a hearse that he drives. I don't know if there's a coffin in the back? Seems like it'd be hard to find one here if we absolutely needed one."
