( closed ) the river knows to reach the sea
Who: Blake, Pyrrha, Qrow, Ruby, and Yang
What: Catching up
When: Early April
Where: Blake's Van
Warnings: Discussions of trauma, war crimes, and risque drawings
It's been a while since Qrow has taken part in one of these group meetings, and even longer since he felt like he was leading one. Hell, maybe he's not leading this meeting. He's the one with the most updated information, but Ruby is the leader of her team and closer to Pyrrha than any of the rest of them. Maybe it's her meeting.
But it doesn't matter. It's a pleasantly cool mid-spring evening. Dinner is over, the Drifters are winding down for the night, and the Convoy has deployed its shield. The five of them are gathered around a cheery little campfire, the flames throwing flickering shadows against the... interesting... mural painted on the side of Blake's van.
Whether or not they're ready for it, it's time to catch up.

She exhaled, grounded again. She could worry about certain thoughts later, once she was ready. "Okay. Then, it sounds like Nirvana is the only way to go. Even if that might be a terrible idea," a look to Qrow. "But I guess a direction is better than none at all."
Her fingers tapping against her thigh, Pyrrha-- oh, yeah. She's got to bring it up.
"Um, speaking of... I don't really know how to drive? And I suddenly have a motorcycle?"
no subject
"Good thing you happen to know a grade-A motorcyclist." Yang replies, leaning forward. "I've been teaching Ruby how to drive, I can definitely show you the ropes too, Pyrrha." Yang has to hand it to Revan, Pyrrha would make a terrific biker.

"Trust me, if Yang can teach Ruby to drive, she can teach anyone."
His tone right now is best described as 'somewhat haunted'.

But- That didn't stop her from making a face at Qrow's comment.
"Hey! Hey! I'm not that bad! That tree came at me!"
no subject
"I'm not sure walking tree is a monster I've seen yet," she teases. "You must have discovered a new species, Ruby."
She's glad Pyrrha will have Yang to teach her, though. From what Blake has seen of Yang's driving, she's pretty good at it. Blake, on the other hand, is mostly just bumbling around at the back of the convoy with her stupid campervan.
"Just don't let Yang anywhere near your bike with spraycans. Or do, if you want a really thirsty mural."

Pyrrha coughed in that awkward way one might when finally broaching the topic of the Behemoth in the room, so to speak. She's happy to have the help, and the company of her fellow huntresses. Still...
"I had no idea Yang was so... artistic?"

But after a moment she gives an awkward little shrug. She still can't look at the mural.
"My dear sister has never been afraid to express herself."

"I think it's great." She shoots Yang a fond look. Even if she's kind of embarrassed herself. "It's very... evocative."
And as they all know, self-expression is very important!

She's thinking of avocados.

Pyrrha starts, and then she just laughs. Genuine laughter.
