Gun Shop And July Catchall [ OTA ]
Who: Vincent Valentine, Various
What: Things in June but not Event-coded.
When: Through June, prior and during event.
Where: Convoy Shop Trailer, Convoy Environs
Warnings: Guns and guntalk. Vampire-coded potential stuff (blood, blood-drinking).
[ Vincent's Appearance over the month can be found in the Event Toplevel
Vincent has taken over a small area in the Convoy's 'shop' trailer in which he's posted strict hours of business for the purpose of trading or requesting guns and ammunition, maintainence, repair or basic lessons. The hours listed are described as, 'From thirty minutes after the Convoy's stop for evening camp until two hours have passed barring emergencies.' This neatly provides an hour or so of night time hours for sun-hating Drifters to pay a visit. There are also some neatly written rules.
-Don't bother me during non-business hours unless it's an emergency.
Ammo and repairs are emergencies.
Securing salvaged firearms and ammo are emergencies.
Wanting a gun or lessons are not.
-No one is entitled to have a firearm.
-Ammo is limited. Don't waste it.
-You're required to prove proficiency and responsibility.
-Clean and maintain your own weapon.
-You may ask to be taught.
-Privilege may be revoked.
Like clockwork, Vincent will be found at the posted hours with a list of current ammunition and a sample selection of available firearms. Pistol, revolver, shotgun, single shot rifles and assault rifles. They are/are loosely based on 20th-21st century Earth and caliber. Most look right at home in a post apoc setting as far as 'wear and tear' but have been clearly repaired and are in perfect working order.
Vincent himself is a dark haired man with pale skin - as much as can be seen given his attire - wearing a red cloak with a high collar over a black leather outfit. His left hand is wearing a bronzen metal gauntlet with pointed clawtips and he has matching armor plates on his boots. He's usually working on a gun that needs repair unless he's dealing with a hopeful customer.
Other Matters
Vincent will be found bringing things back to the Convoy very often. Radio parts, other items he's salvaging, his usual habit of collecting most every firearm or ammo in sight. Other than the hours of his 'shop', he might be found working on his car or propping up a corner of the counter of the Convoy's bar. Indeed, he might even walk in one day with a crate of still-sealed liqour and wine he'd managed to find.
Beers are a little harder to bring back intact and unshaken. Best leave those to someone else who doesn't have a Fast trait car and a tendency for ridiculous acrobatics in combat.

[guns guns guns]
No, thank you. He'd rather leave that to the more industrious-minded among them, who seem to largely be comprised of tall men with dark hair and serious dispositions. ]
Evenin'.
[ There's a knock at the jamb of the door to the trailer as he slides his way in from the darkness outside. Len left his rifle in Arcade's care, but the pistol on his hip is still present and obvious as he strolls leisurely to the work table. Gaze skipping over the various firearms in proximity, tempted more out of habit than actual need, he smiles thinly. ]
You got a decent selection.
Re: [guns guns guns]
No more than salvage, colected from heaps and hidden stashes or stripped from corpses of the Convoy's attackers. Though it is also clear that they have been cleaned, serviced and repaired to working order, gun oil, solvent and rags can only do so much to restore an aging weapon to its original beauty. Battle scarred then. Let's call it that.
The gunman's ruby eyes have a faint glow. They focus on the visitor's expected appearance before Len knocks and Vincent is already studying him by the time he reaches the counter. Inside the trailer it seems distinctly colder. It could be the air con. It might not be. ]
What do you want?
[ There seems to be no expectation in Vincent's tone to indicate the discussion will be about guns. But given he seems to be alone thus far in using this shop space ( last he checked), it's at least reasonable to expect someone has come here to speak with him. Only briefly does Vincent turn his gaze away from the visitor to glance at the guns. But there isn't a direct answer upon looking up again. Not a nod or a word; he does have a good selection for this place. And apparently he isn't the type to confirm the obvious or express gratitude for such a compliment. ]
no subject
That's fine, he can adjust. The selection has certainly seen better days, but then, the majority of what's available back in the Mojave wasteland isn't that dissimilar. The only mint-condition weapons he comes across are those sequestered away in vaults, pretty much everything else is secondhand salvage he has to piece together into something that won't fall apart with the squeeze of a trigger. ]
Ammunition.
[ Len says simply, professional and straightforward, sensing that the particular dark and brooding gentleman in the red cloak isn't exactly the small-talk type. ]
Lookin' for .357s. Barring that, lookin' for a way to manufacture some if you've got the equipment to do so.
